Cadillac Escalade has always been and will always be the undisputed king in the full-size SUV territory with its bold designs and incomparable performance. The 2025 Escalade is no different: it carries that legacy into the future, bringing together everything that makes for a fantastically powerful, luxurious, and extraordinarily tech-savvy driving experience.
Cadillac provides two Escalade variants, each with its unique power performance numbers. The Escalade-V is meant to rip some serious speed, while the Escalade ESV is made with smooth, long-forgiving rides and acres of space in mind.
Escalade-V Pure Power
Yet 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V runs totally powered with a supercharged and intercooled 16-valve V-8. The recipe is 6162 cm³, with 682 horsepower produced at 6000 rpm and 653 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm. It is coupled to a super-fast 10-speed automatic gearbox. So, the combination is such that the Escalade-V reaches 60 mph within the next 4.3 seconds, and the passing blast finishes a quarter-mile at 111 mph in 12.7 seconds. The top speed is limited electronically to 125 mph.
Escalade Strong Performance ESV 4WD
While the same 6162 cm³ V-8 engine with an output of a little lower 420 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at 4100 rpm is carried by Escalade ESV 4WD. It connects with the same 10-speed automatic gearbox with smooth acceleration. This model completes the 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and runs a quarter-mile in 14.5 seconds at 97 mph. It serves as a powerful, practical fit for long-distance travel with family or friends.
Dimensions, Thundering Comfort, and Braking Power
Both have very striking road presence with their broad dimensions. While the Escalade-V has a wheelbase of 120.9 inches and length of 211.9, the ESV 4WD extends much more with a length of 227 inches and a 134.1-inch wheelbase. The height is pretty much similar, being around 76.5 to 76.7 inches. In passenger volume, the Escalade-V is 177 cubic feet and the ESV 4WD is 180 cubic feet. This is where the ESV also leads in terms of cargo space with 43 cubic feet versus the 26 cubic feet in the Escalade-V.
Both SUVs have terrific braking setups, a configuration of large vented discs that gives confidence in those quick halts. The great while the ESV has 13.5-inch front and 13.6-inch rear discs, the Escalade-V has 16.1-inch front and 13.6-inch rear discs. While the skidpad reads 0.69 g for the Escalade-V and 0.71 g for the ESV, grip on the road surface is solid.
Price, Fuel Efficiency, and Last Words on Variants
The 2025 Escalade-V comes with a sticker price of $151,490, while the test model with such things in addition as Super Cruise and Crystal White Tricoat paint goes for $155,215. The 2021 Escalade ESV 4WD has a test base of $83,490, with the full price test at $112,965. These two vehicles ride on Bridgestone, Alenza A/S 02 tires in 22-inch sizes.
Again, fuel economy is not admirable. Such being the size and power of these vehicles, it must be expected. The Escalade-V gives observed mileage of 11 mpg, while the ESV does slightly better at 14mpg. EPA ratings put the Escalade-V at 13/11/16 mpg (combined/city/highway) while the ESV is rated at 16/13/16 mpg (combined/city/highway).
